On June 1st-3rd a combined team of 4 scouts and a leader, with another leader in support, from 39th St John's and 63rd St Joseph's set out to complete the C to C cycle ride. The chosen route was the original C to C route from Whitehaven to Sunderland. We set out from Sunderland at 6:00am to travel to the start at Whitehaven. On the first day the weather was very sunny and we managed to get as far as Troutbeck. On the second day the weather was not so kind to us with driving wind and rain however this did not prevent us from reaching Allenheads. The last day the weather started as showers but soon brightened up and we finished in Sunderland about 7:00pm.
